This might be the million dollar question in the fitness industry.
“How do you get in shape??”
But Joe Santagato, from The Basement Yard podcast, pulls no punches talking about this topic. He talks about Instagram “fitness celebrities”. He talks about fast food. He talks about options for working out. The best part about it is that HE’S HILARIOUS.
Joe nails it in this five minute video.
Here’s my take on this:
I LOVE how he calls out these so-called fitness celebrities selling their meal plans and workout programs. But I want to talk specifically about those people that do physique competitions.
They diet down and basically stop short of starving themselves to prepare for these shows and that’s all fine and good. My problem is when they turn around and immediately start asking people for money to get access to their meal plans and whatever else they’re selling.
It’s simply not a sustainable way to lose weight.
The other thing that he hit right on the head is fast food. I don’t really know how else to put this but this stuff shouldn’t be part of your diet. Period.
You’re not eating real food. You’re eating food-like substitute. The $1 menu is simply not an option.
Take Joe’s advice for what it’s worth (It’s at least worth the laugh). At the end of the day, nothing beats hard work and discipline.
As always, if this was helpful, share it with a friend who could benefit from it as well!
